Best Places to Work in the Federal Government Employee Engagement Toolkit

Converging issues have presented federal leadership with both challenges and opportunities when developing innovative employee engagement strategies that will succeed in the future of work. Building off our collective research, the Partnership of Public Service with the Boston Consulting Group hosted a Best Places to Work workshop series in early 2023 where federal leaders strategized about demands and opportunities related to employee engagement that will need to be addressed as our government adapts to changing workplace needs.  

The brief below summarizes the concerns and recommendations shared by participants in these workshops. Meanwhile, the reporting tool provides a template to address an identified need to improve long-term strategic planning and focus leadership attention on key data and individuals when implementing activities related to improving employment engagement and satisfaction.
