The Best Places to Work rankings include results based on the index scores of demographic groups tracked in the Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey.
The index score measures overall employee satisfaction and commitment. It is calculated using a proprietary weighted formula that looks at responses to three different questions in the FEVS. The more the question predicts intent to remain, the higher the weighting.
